A little while ago Adobe launched what are called “AI Adaptive Presets”. These new presets use Adobe’s Sensei AI to actually look at the image you’re editing and understand it.
These presets know:
- Where where the sky is
- If there’s water
- Whether the image is a snowy mountain or lush forest
- Detect people and other subjects
- And much more…
This way a preset can target specific parts of an image (like the sky in the example above) rather than editing the entire image with each setting.
This means that it’s possible to build AI powered presets that take a look at your photo, ponder how to get the best results and then do 80-90% of the edit for you.
It’s incredible!
This is the biggest leap forward in landscape photography editing since AI denoise was introduced.
Using these AI Adaptive Presets saves me hours of editing after every trip. Heck, it makes editing fun because most of the work is done for me.
